Day 41

Reporter Merrie and Mayor Larry

May 6th, 2010

Merrie spotted me at a crosswalk on the outskirts of Nappanee, IN. She grabbed her camera and ran over to do a quick interview for the local paper. As I was heading through town a little while later she popped out of a building with the mayor, Larry Thompson, and snapped a photo of the two of us. He looks right at home behind the wheel, doesn't he? If things go downhill politically, Larry, you're welcome to come join me on the road!

  1. Yoni says:

I love a reporter that works the streets! Good job Merrie!

  2. Jeremy says:

btw – I vote, from now on, you start taking all photos of your new friends pushing your cart.

  3. Doris says:

Yes, it is a good idea. I wished I had gotten a photo pushing your cart.

  4. Jonathan says:

    They both look very kind.

  5. CJ says:

    Is that Liz’ Furniture?

  6. Alan S says:

He looks like a younger Dave Thomas (RIP) from Wendy’s.

  7. Karen says:

Totally unrelated to the other comments here, but how long are you planning on airing out those socks?

    • Karen Too says:

(I began reading this blog from the start on May 28th, which is when I first heard about it.

Not long from now, I noticed another “Karen,” so I added the word “Too” to my name. Now, I’m going back to add a note about this to my early posts as just Karen, so everyone will know theses are from me, Karen Too.

Silly, perhaps, but thought people should be able to tell the difference as the other Karen was here first.)

    • Candice in Alabama says:

  8. Christopher says:

Any politician worth his salt knows a good photo opp. when he sees one.
