The Bat Cave

I'm walking across America.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out. If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania. You can read all about the details of my trip if you're so inclined.

Here's my progress so far:
Old Style is excellent beer…brewed in La Cross, which looks to be in your sites….it used to be the #1 beer in Chicago a few years ago. It’s hard to find in Virginia sadly. Be sure to give it a try while you can.

That’s pretty funny, I never knew a town was named after Gotham…I wonder what they do on Halloween : )
Ahhhh yes…The Batcave!!! Regular hangout for yours truly. Locals are “allowed” to call the town “Go-thum” as in the TV Batman series. “Outsiders” are “required” to call it the way it’s supposed to be called: “GOTH-m”! ☺ Quite the unique place!
After looking at all your pictures this is where I want to go the most.

Wisconsin, one of the best states ever
I had passed this dive bar every summer for 12 years and finally stopped in a month ago with some friends. It’s umm …interesting. Safe travels. Really enjoying your blog, although I’m still catching up.
