I just found your blog…and am completely HOOKED.
I am slowly starting from the beginning….love everything about it!
(wish our paths would cross, but you aren’t coming to CA!)
I can probably help you secure a place to stay, when you reach the Oregon coast. It doesn’t sound like you have much trouble making friends – you’ll probably have quite a party waiting for you, anyway. BUT if you happen to need anything, feel free to drop me a line before you get here :).
Enjoying your travelogue – I’ve been exploring it since the news article came out, a few days ago. Good luck!
Matt, I only wish I was as free hearted and hopefully stress free as you seem.
God Bless and I will be keeping track and living your sights through your eyes.

Just thought you might find it fun to know that my coworkers and I are following your walk. We’re at DreamWorks in LA. You should walk down into California!
wow, what a beautiful picture! what can i say i’ve been hooked since coming across your journey on Friday. The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination. By: Don Williams, Jr.
Hi Matt,
I love starting my day by looking at your photos and seeing what you came across. You have a wonderful sense of humor. I love how you can find discovery even the smallest of things. I appreciate the courage it took to give up a secure life and go on this adventure. Your website makes my daily routine much more bearable. I wish you continued good fortune on your trek.
Dang, you’ve got an eye for photography. Perhaps you can go to work for National Geographic?? You can feed your traveling soul and dazzle us with photos from around the world. Just an idea…..
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.

Hey Matt. I like these type of pictures. I use sunrise, sunset pictures as wallpaper on my phone and laptop. Can I use your pictures?
Another familiar, and very welcome sight.
Well, I am now officially caught up on your blog, Matt, having started reading just a few days ago.
Can’t wait to see what’s next, and thanks again for sharing this on your blog.
