oh ok… lol after a wee study of it.. by the intake filters on the front of the engine cowling… marks it as a UH-1B a Bravo model.. very old.. maybe 1966 or so. I remember the crewchief and gunner having to run along side the helicopter on take off til we got enough transational lift to get off the ground.. week engines in these earlier models.
This is actually a Uh-1 SuperB. It has T-53-22…not a weak engine! It has 212 gearboxes, H-model Huey rotor system, and an F-model huey tail boom. It is made to lift. We use it to spray herbicides on railroad right-of-ways. I know all this because I work for the man who owns it…my uncle! :)
I think it may be a crop dusting helicopter. There appears to be a spray boom attached to the front of the skid and has a white tank in the rear of the interior compartment. Not sure what they would spray for out there in the badlands though
oh my, temptations, temptations, Cars, trains and now the helicopter…..in the middle of no-where. Walk on Matt, walk on…..it is probably one of those shadow traffic helicoptors. Reporting on all that train traffic you have been seeing. What’s next a boat on a river>>>>?
My comment is for Rod Norris. A huge thank you for your service and your sacrifice. I can only imagine what you had to do and give. YOU are a true HERO.
With much respect and many heart felt thank you’s.

That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
Huey, UH-58, Iriquios, very nice picture, thanks

Temptation is around every corner. Just walk on by my friend.
Looks like it’s taking it’s afternoon nap.

Looks like it hasn’t been used in quite some time:

And it hasn’t filed a flight plan in who knows how long.

Just keep on walkin’, Matt. Ignore the temptations, as Jeff advised.
Judging by those clouds in the previous pictures, I’d say the next thing will be the mother ship coming to offer Matt a ride.
Wow Pete, they have a website for everything it appears! Very cool…
