Salsify is a highly invasive weed. If it gets highly established no other plant can live as it releases chemicals that keep other plant from growing. I have spent many hours spraying these weeds to keep them down our property. I’m not talking about a few lots many Acres.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.

That’s actually called milk weed, you can see the “milk” in the stem when you snap it off….but giant annoying dandelion works just as well! :)
