  2. Barbara Kiviat says:

Looks more like a spoon to me.

  3. Gigi says:

Did you jump in and swim?

  4. Don in Tennessee says:

This does look inviting to swim or fly fish!

It must get its name Clark Fork because at least 5 different rivers flow into it. See attached.

  5. Megan in Great Falls MT says:

    LOVE the Clark Fork!

    • Barb C. says:

Megan please tell everyone just how cold the water is in the rivers. Yes it is very inviting, but very cold.
      Great info Don in Tn.
Oh, I returned from the land of the cheeseheads and Uff Da yesterday. It was a lot coller up there and I didn’t want to come home. Hate this hot humid weather.
Love the picture and I agree with AZ Bob ==Montana is beautiful

  6. Don in Tennessee says:

Wasn’t there a musical group named Clark Fork?

Oh yes – Dave Clark 5 – and this song makes me glad all over to see these photos — http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgCvnds6Xps

  7. AZ Bob says:

I have been in almost all 50 states at one time or another (I am a road tripper and former truck driver, but east to west, north to south, I think Montana is hands-down the most beautiful state in our Union. And that’s saying something because we have a LOAD of beautiful states.

  8. Ruthie of CA says:

I agree with you Lori, I made a fast trip to Grand Junction CO last wee via Phoenix and went thru Monument Valley. so bummed because no time to stop and take pictures. I will have to go back!

    • Lori says:

Several years ago, I crossed one more ‘to do’ off my Bucket List — riding Monument Valley on our motorcycle. It’s so spectacular that I want to go again and spend some more time there.

Ruthie — there’s another REALLY cool place near Monument in NE AZ — Canyon de Chelly. Ancient Anasazi Cliff Dwellings similar to Mesa Verde, but not quite as well known. There are a few Navajo tribal members STILL living at the bottom of the canyon, nearly 1,000 years after their first ancestors did — longest continuously inhabited place in N. America.

  9. Ruthie of CA says:

    Last “week”

  10. Roe says:

Let’s see how many times YOU cross Clark Fork…

  11. phyllis says:

i’m feeling a little “antsy”as your trip progresses. i don’t want to see it end. i enjoy so much opening your site each evening to see what has transpired in your day. beautiful scene

  12. Amanda in WA says:

I really just want a tent and a 4 day weekend right there next to the river! Amazing pic!!

  13. Dorinda from Mentor, Oh. says:

This is beautiful. I can see it on my monitor better now that the sun isn’t shinning in my room. When this was first posted today the sun was shinning so bright it glared on my screen. I waited until night to be able to see this better. And am I glad I waited. This is just awesome. This is what going into the mountains is all about. The rivers meandering through the mountains. Just beautiful.

  14. Janine says:

All that waw-tah! I like the idea of floating on the air mattress. *LOL*
