see ya next fall….anothe state down….two to go…

  2. Candice In Alabama says:

Hmmmm….guess they might have to add “push carts” after this…

    • Candice In Alabama says:

Is the “road closed” for all travel or just for passenger cars and trailers? Matt, are you going to have to push the cart down/up some ravines (where the bridges are closed)?

  3. deb says:

Wow…this is a little alarming. Matt may be “off-roading” soon!

  4. Lori says:

Don’t worry about Matt, Candice. No bridges on this route — just dirt, rocks, trees…. and BEARS! And now he’s already safely through.

    • Candice In Alabama says:

Thanks Lori – I’m glad to hear that! That he’s safely through! Looks like he had a rough road to push that cart on/up.

  5. Janine says:

Maybe I’m out of line here, but here’s how my thought process is going at this moment: whenever I see the word “primitive” it’s usually in conjuction with a campground. In that context, it means the area is undeveloped. I read that as “not even an outhouse.” It has just occurred to me that Matt is walking through a whole lot of primitive areas. Suddenly, walking across the country seems a little rougher than it used to.

  6. Vivian from CA says:

How lovely! That means you don’t have to worry about car dust or people driving too fast around blind corners :)

  7. MN Roxanne says:

I’m sure you just thought oh well, here I go….
