Day 133

Judy and Gretchen

August 6th, 2010

Out doing a rare-plant survey to help evaluate the environmental impact of new wind turbines, they stopped to say hi and offer me some refreshments, including "cold water" and "hot grapes".

  1. Yay People Interaction! I was beginning to get worried about your trip as of late.. must be lonely out West..

    • Norwood says:

Hey I got some rare plants they might want to evaluate, they’re not really rare but still they might want to, come to think of it they are just really weeds but still, they come from Jamaica that kinda makes em rare around here but I don’t have much left so they might wanna hurry before it’s all gone

  2. young says:

Hey, me thinks I spot and hobo shutterbug in Gretchen’s sunglasses.

  3. katzien in austin says:

Great work ladies! Please tell us they’re safe and environmentally friendly….here’s hoping.

    • Lori says:

Maybe someone should have thought about this study a few years ago before a ga-zillion wind turbines were erected in the Columbia River Gorge, where Matt is headed. Could be a little late now. Maybe he’ll snap some photos of these wind farms for us along the gorge.

  4. deanna valenti meyer says:

Welcome to the Hobo Planet Gretchen & Judy! Thanks for taking care of our Matt. :)

  5. Chaser1 says:
