I’ve been enjoying your pictures and comments for several months now and I’ve posted a few times. Just want to say I’m going to miss coming to the blog everyday and looking for new pictures. I know you have had a great time meeting people and seeing sights. I hope you don’t have withdrawal once you get home. It’s bad enough that all of us have been taking a vicarious trip through you will be in serious withdrawal without you going all to pieces as well. I hope you continue posting pictures and clever comments from your walks around New York City. Good Luck in all you do.

      My thoughts exactly!

    • Don in Tennessee says:

Yes I will miss Matt and the rest of the HOBO PLANET- this adventure has helped my spirits in ways no one could have known except the maker upstairs! I have been out of work for 13 months and it gets hard to stay positve but Matt and the rest of the HOBO NATION has helped me in so many ways. Some of you do not like my wacko sense of humor and non politicially correctness, but that is who I am and I hope I have made many friends and hopefully I can meet some of you in person sometime. If I have offended anyone with my humor, I apoligize to you!

I have lived within 45 minutes of the most visited National Park in Amercia all my life. It is the only Park that does not charge a fee to enter! Has to do with the history of the land and the people who lived here and had to leave their homes for the Park. If any of you get to Tennesee and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park you can call me and I will show you the real places to see in the Park. My cell is 865-256-6457.

Hope to hear from some of you including Hobo Matt!

Thank you Matt and the rest of the Planet for a great adventure-one step at a time!

Awesome mailboxes, beautiful bridges, beautiful people across this land and Matt’s humor will be missed!

Don, I’m retired now and I’m looking to downsize. I’m seriously looking into the tiny house or small house movement. As soon as I can sell the place I’m living in now, I’m seriously going to consider a tiny house. That is under 750 sq ft. but I’m looking at 320 sq ft. I’m spending a lot of time looking at websites to see what I like and don’t like about some of the features.

Hope you find a job soon — hang in there.

  2. John in MI says:

Not just delicious, but delicious and illegal…how tempting.

  3. Dorinda from Mentor, Oh. says:

It’s protected too!. So who protects it from the wildlife?

  4. Oh I hope SOMEONE (hint) makes you a blackberry cobbler and serves it to you with vanilla ice cream! I would, if I was nearby. I miss seeing you with families….is there anyone out there ready to pick some berries, and serve it to Matt?

  5. Jeff says:

so were you tempted on the Mount of Blackberries……just one taste???

  6. A little bit of heaven: Aunt Dorothy serving her blackberry cobbler to Matt…she could really make cobbler…warm with a scoop of Schwann’s vanilla ice cream…yup, a bit of heaven…

  7. Candice in Alabama says:

So WHO picked all the blackberries?

  8. EDL in MN says:

The sign indicates the soil and vegetation should not be disturbed. Questions:
    1. What happened to all the blackberries?
    2. Who has been illegally cutting the vegetation? Theer must somebody who is less concerned with the water quality then trimming the vegetation…

  9. Don in Tennessee says:

The garden of Eden- Do not do as Adam and Eve did! Keep moving! The bears and other animals will have a field day.
