I’m sitting on this bench, typing this
August 22nd, 2010
I'm walking across America.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out. If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania. You can read all about the details of my trip if you're so inclined.

That looks like a grate seat. Hope you did not get barred from actually sitting on it.
Glad you and/or your Droid didn’t fall through the grate! You might have missed your Rockaway Beach welcoming party (after having to find your way back from the depths or from rescuing your Droid from the depths).
Looking closely I think it was a place for water to run into….so he might have gotten a wet bottom. If it had been raining. But in the woods, one has to take what there is….
