Just catching up again!! I am so happy for you and sad like everyone else. I am leaving to go overseas shortly so will miss your grand finale ending. Will try and find internet when I land!

Congratulations and thanks to all the Hobo people out there! Too much to say too little time.

    Be well all

    Bye

  2. Gigi says:

  3. blistery Bob says:

    Could I be first???

Looks like a swimming hole that should be enjoyed….wish there was one close to me.

Enjoy the foot and body soak.

  4. Julie in Cincinnati says:

You may not have been the ONLY one swimming today but I’ll bet you were the most famous one swimming today! How many of those people can say they have an entire nation following them?

  5. carolyn says:

I hope you had a friendly host family tonight on your last night on your journey. I wish I could be there tomorrow to celebrate with the Hobo Nation.

  6. MN Roxanne says:

I went swimming today too in a lake… this river is soooo inviting.. I sure hope you got in it and enjoyed!!

  7. katzien in austin says:

  8. Christopher says:

    The partay is already swinging.

  9. Dorinda from Mentor, Oh. says:

Beautiful shot and spot! Wow. Gorgeous place to go for a dip in the creek. Really pretty.

  10. Great picture of a summer day in August on the Wilson River. Memories…..

  11. Jeff says:

Them not bears swimming, but they sure are enjoying themselves. Ah a tent, matts tent? that is why no posts…enjoying a day in the river – if so you derserve it.

  12. John in MI says:

Another great view of Americana at its best.

    • RAYMOND in ALABAMA says:

But if you will notgice above water, they have started clear cutting and ruining beautiful places, like they are in

Alabama. Imagine what it would look like with all tree’s still there.

  13. Stephen says:

I thought the Pacific would be much bigger. Guess the tide is out.

  14. Vanessa says:

Damn! We stopped and asked those people yesterday if they had seen you…around 3 pm-ish…no one had. Judging by the tree shadows we missed you by no more than a couple of hours. That sucks! I guess I’ll ask my question here: How are you getting back to NY?

  15. Don in Tennessee says:

This photo reminds me of a place in Townsend, TN just as you enter the Great Smoky Mountains National Park-at a place called the Y. At this intersection you go R to go to Cades Cove or L to Gatlinburg. Swimmers and tubers are always packed in here in the summer.

This is not as good a photo as I wanted but will do-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goEozOAQ6yI

  16. Candice In Alabama says:

Looks like you are having some beautiful weather for your winding down…Lovely picture!
