    Looks like an invasion of lesser celandine such as I have in my little woods. Handsome but drives out native wildflowers.

    Yep – that pretty little flower is omnipotent in the early spring. We call it “Scharbockskraut” here in Germany. The word “Scharbock” is related to “scurvy”. The leaves were eaten as a cure against scurvy in the old days.
