Women of the Moose

I'm walking across America.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out. If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania. You can read all about the details of my trip if you're so inclined.

We have a moose lodge here. It’s just like an Elks club if anyone knows what they are. Maybe you could relate it to a VFW hall or something similar. I’ll bet that’s what that is about.

Hope you are doing well on this Friday. To be 94 today in Maryville. It was still 87 last night at 10:30! Got my 5 miles in early-will cook a big porterhouse steak on the charcoal grill tonight w/ steamed vegis-I bought some back a day or 2 at the sign!

I actualy have been to moose lodge beefsteak. No moose served. Not sure about the special handshake stuff…

When Captain Kangeroo finished production Mr. Moose moved to Montana to open a brothel. It nice to see he gets the girls out of bed to clean the highways of those Budweiser and Mountain Maze cans.

From all of the beer cans Matt has photographed-they need the Adopt-A-Highway in these parts. I have to say we need and have them here as well; and it is a good thing!
