DITTO WHAT JEFF SAID!
hehehe the droid video does little justice to the pics. but it does not matter.. it came from the heart..
it rocks!
thank you
MATT!!!!!!!
What a grand adventure (and stunning countryside)! Impressive, walking your way through the Rocky Mountains. Been a real treat to follow your blog. Go go go! You can do it!
I was in St. Ignatius & surrounding area a few days ago…. Matt is doing a great job of depicting the beauty of Big Sky Country.
You’re through most of the very rugged stretchs now, Matt. Roads will be better (but scenery still fantastic) until you cut off for forest service roads after Thompson Falls into Idaho. Unless you go over Thompson Pass, or Hwy 135, it will be a bit bumpy!
I think Matt’s route is a bit further North than he should of gone. He will now have to walk back south to get to his goal of Rockaway Beach Oregon. I would of went into Missoula and down to Lolo over Lolo Pass on US Route 12. If he’s simply talking the longer route for the adventure what the heck.
I got curious about this route after you mentioned it, so checked on Google Maps. In actual mileage, the walking route over Lolo Pass (measured from St. Ignatius) to Rockaway Beach is about 35 miles longer than Matt’s planned route on Hwy 200 to Thompson Falls. As you said… what the heck! It’s an adventure either way!
these are a few of my favorite things…when Matt walks, when Matt takes a shot, when people treat him nice – these are a few of my favorite things………and then…….
Great video. The mountains are so much more in person but you’re trying the best you can to bring them to us and I thank you so much for that. I’ve been waiting for you to get to this and it’s nice that it’s here. The purple mountains majesty indeed.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
I want to be there! Looks awesome!
video…killed the walking star….Awesome shot…thanks for the live show. Well worth the wait and reading of 90 some posts.

I think I see Maria on that mountain – just too far away to hear her singing.
