This is my Auntie!!!!!!!!!!!! She IS an awesome lady…..of course, you missed her big sister (my mom) but you definitely landed on a good one!! She was so embarrassed that she didn’t offer you something to eat, drink and even stay over for the night. You should see the upstairs bedroom. It’s so awesome!!!!! I spent a lot of time there when I was a kid. Aunt Cora, as we call her, was so excited to have had you visit. Hope we can keep in touch and perhaps even meet a some point. My son lives in Brooklyn. I’ll look you up when I’m there! (<: Best wishes to you on your journey.
She exudes happiness! Her eyes, her smile, her home, her garden. She obviously loves her life because it shows all around her. God bless her. And how wonderful you found her and brought her to us, to the world. She needs to be included in your book for sure.
Matt, I wish you could see my garden now! The lilies and delphinium are beautiful! My family has helped me so much this year. We had a lot of rain so the weeds have really grown. It was a joy to meet you and I am so happy you stopped. I am not a “computer” person but my children are following your journey and telling me about it. Thanks to all of you who have commented. Praying for your safety! This email address is my daughter, if I have an address for you, I will write and send more pictures.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
Gloria sounds like a woman who loves what she does. I wish I had been there.
She reminded me a lot of you!
Glorious!
Amazing!
Oh yay! I was hoping to see a picture of this incredible woman! I want to grow up to be just like her. :-)
Don’t know if she’s following this, but thanks to Gloria for giving Matt such a treat.
And to Matt for sharing the treat!
Must. Love. Gloria.
To think that all of this is hidden at the end of a dead-end country road, and you found it. What a wonderful woman, and place.
I was excited to see a picture of this great lady when I 1st read the story!
I heart Gloria, what a fabulous lady!
