I love that you have pictures of places I recognize. You’re walking right across the land I grew up in: Southwestern Wisconsin. The Shoe Box is THE place to get your shoes when you don’t really live near any big cities. Now I live less than an hour from Wall. Too bad it’s not on your route.
Wall Drug is the shhhhhhhh**!!!!!!!!!! Visited there when I drove from CA to TN to rescue a dog. Definitely take some pictures and pick up some funky stuff from there! Keep up the great work!
Heh-Wall Drug has the best advertisements in the world apparently. I was rolling cross-country in an 84 Impala after I got out of the Army and saw Wall Drug signs all over the mid-west and west. One was-“Free coffee and donuts for missle crews” etc-the buddy I was driving with had fun for a few hundred miles ribbing me about “they dont have that for Gulf War Veterans” LOL.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
My name is Rob, and I approve this message. I might wear my Wall Drug shirt tomorrow to celebrate.
Very awesome! You’re getting close! Hahahaha
hey they have free icewater :-)

Oh-I’m talking about the first Gulf War-Desert Shield and Storm-that I was in for.
And Only 718 more wall Drug signs to go!
