I absolutely fell in love with the area once I saw how beautiful it was! I still love the blue bridges that carry you to and from WI & MN. Hope La Crescent (MN) was a great experience for you. I know these people will bend over backwards for anyone including outsiders! Have a great trip and can’t wait to see more pictures along the way.

Saw your story on Yahoo and I’ve been looking at your blog for 4 hours straight now! The places you’ve been and the people you’ve met are all so interesting to see. Good luck on your journey and I can’t wait to see more pictures! Best wishes from California!

  6. You are in beautiful country right now I grew up on the Mississippi. You should have stopped in Dubuque if you want to see a beautiful town on the river

Ha! Still no traffic, but that’s good for you, Matt, while on a bridge.

Beautiful bridges, good cloud cover for a long walk; hope it didn’t rain on you that day.

This one should be “Art #3.” The lines, the movement, the scale, the monotone color. Stunning!!

I’ve crossed that bridge a few times going back and forth between home and school when I was in college. Its an absolutely gorgeous place to drive through. Thanks for the pictures and the memories they brought back.
