Seed patents… Putting farmers out of business on a daily basis. AKA, the corporate take over of our food supply.

  6. Kirstyn says:

    Mansanto… Boo Hiss!!!

  7. Dave from 4-Oaks says:

Note the Roundup Ready sign on the package. This means the beans have been ‘bred’ to be resistant to Roundup weed killer. A good thing if you’re a farmer, but it turns out that some weeds can create their own resistance. Meaning Roundup doesn’t kill them like it used to. So some farmers are trying even stronger herbicides. I would like to know if this hybrid development is reducing the food-value of the eventual crop. Or making for future unintended consequences. I mean, think of how tasty store-bought tomatoes are… not!
