On a human level that is a well-spoken contrast between machine and nature. On another level I like the contrast of colors between yellow and lime-green. Sort of pretty in it’s own way. And on a final level, it’s amazing how somebody is keeping the grass cut so nicely around, under, and between those rusty tractors as they’re apparently melting back into the good earth. Nice picture.
This looks like my grandad’s farm in Iowa, everywhere a tractor died(from lack of mantainance, most likley)he left it,or towed it to a clearing like this.
A “Minnie” museum!!! Reminds me of all of all the hours spent riding on the fender of my grandpa’s Minnie in the fields. Thanks for sharing your journey with us!!!
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
This is an amazing picture! Especially considering it was taken with your phone!

You know where I can find a good used tractor?
Matt… any idea why or how they got there (or they just lawn decorations?)

Perhaps a bit childish, but this made me think of the movie Cars when Mater & McQueen go tractor tipping. ha ha
I love that movie! And I’m 39! Tractor-tipping….hilare! Looks a bit like rain too.
I believe that is a bunch of Minneapolis-Moline tractors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minneapolis-Moline
“Attractorve;” very clever.
This gives a whole new meaning to “If you mow your lawn and find an automobile…”
