did you know that this place made national news, and was mentioned on oprah because it’s one of the last if not the last gas station that runs on the honor system.. everyone in sentinel butte has a key and they go get their gas and then write it down and are billed later… i am surprised you found people in the station, when i was there it was deserted! the whole town was actually.. kind of eerie!

  3. These people don’t seem to know what to make of you yet. Quite a stranger in them thar parts to them. They do look friendly though and nice little country type place too.

Honor system. I remember when the local hardwarestore did that…write it down on a index card and once a month my dad would get a bill for what we took. These people got smiles and it looks a whole lot nicer then the dinner people. Reminded me of that shot. Gigi darling beat me to my punch line….Venison sausage…awesome treat. Well, Kalua pig is in the slow cooker..it is 2:18 am…and I am hitting the sack. happy forth of July Matt and fellow coat-tailers. Hobo Nation celebrates the fourth of July with Matt entering Montana.
