There are many times more miles of dirt road then paved in that part of the country. I love dirt roads…better walking..tougher pushing but the cart has good sized wheels.
Hope a ranch family invites ‘Our Matt’ in for a 4th picnic and a nice bed for the night.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
and what lies beyond the next hill……….
….Montana!
Is someone going to say, “Big Sky”?…
Very quiet, and so pretty.
Not that I mind, as I’m not walkin’ and this is a lovely shot, but what happened to the paved roads?

Yeah I thought the same thing when I saw this, where’d the paved road go? Changes quick out there.
Big sky too!
matt – I advise staying to the right or left of the road. riding the center may cause a rash.
Big Sky….did I win again???
I think Matt has finally found his groove.
I’d rather walk on dirt than paved road when it’s hot. But I’d choose paved over dirt when it’s raining ^^
my god, yes. i’m so glad you’re getting to enjoy sights like this. thinking of you often, – liz
MORE Blue skies, smiling at me! :)
Man, some of these shots belong in an art gallery. Nice shots!
