Well….I didn’t really mean to make a funny there but guess I did. If I try to explain it more it will only make it worse. They just go together. But thanks Jeff.! : )
Jeff…
That one man on flicker was right, Matt’s Droid cellphone camera does take some pretty nice shots..
some of the best I’ve seen on any camera phone.
I’ll go with the “let it snow, let it snow, let it snow”. Candice loves cooler weather! We have had some beautiful days (sunny with bright blue skies and white fluffy clouds). You just can’t get out in it – due to the heat and humidty!
Awesome Picture! Awesomeist water shot. Who else would you rather walk with (besides your parents at your side)
you can tell them everything…and they wont utter a sound. Peaceful moment.
It was hot and muggy here yesterday, but not today. Right now, it’s about 67 degrees, with low humidity. It’s going down to about 55 tonight. Love it. (I’m in the mountains of upstate NY.)
Nice picture! You really have an eye for taking good balanced shots even though you’re using a phone. Also in the city yesterday it was 97 degrees with a low of 80 and a heat index of 105…you’re lucky to be up in the mountains! It finally cooled down a bit though….
moji there is also a giant prairie chicken roosting right under that lamp post and about 30 yards to the left of that there is a squatting Sasquatch me thinks is taking a dump.
Daytime temps are around 90+ deg. in the area where Matt is now, but here’s the difference: it cools to about high 40’s at night AND it’s about 20% humidity. BIG difference! As they say… it’s a dry heat.
Dry heat….EEEK…we have had 120 degrees here in the Mohave desert, so far this season (actually prolly hotter, the weather people always say its cooler than it is – LOL)…After moving from the east coast ( HOT HUMID) it actually does make a difference. You just have to go from AC to AC to AC….. Walk on Matt 8-)
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.
I’ll leave some for the rest of you…but, well, first again…sorry…
Good for you Jim in AR via MN!! Three first comments!
These pics are beautiful. I would love to just camp here for a few days.
It’s starting to get really scenic out there. Great shot, Matthew!
Beautiful travelling companions. I really like them. They flow nicely together. Hope you’re enjoying the change in scenery. I know I am.
flow together…yuck yuck yuck…that is a funny one.

Good thing you aren’t walking across the south. In Warner Robins, GA, at 5:00 pm, the temp was 98 degrees with a heat index of 117.
Pat
At 8:52 PM in Maryville, TN it is 91 with a heat index of 97.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

THAT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!
THANK YOU!
That certainly is some clear looking water. They could use some of that in the Gulf of Mexico about now.
Beautiful!

Hi Don,
We’ve had our share of heat this summer. I’m with you, though: Bring on the snow!
I am so JEALOUS!

definitely a sight! i’m just wondering what the heck is that lamp(?) post doing there?
Where do you see a lamp post? I see some dead trees but no lamp. Sorry I don’t see what you’re seeing.
moji there is also a giant prairie chicken roosting right under that lamp post and about 30 yards to the left of that there is a squatting Sasquatch me thinks is taking a dump.
I think it’s a dead tree – not a lamp post.

:)
So peaceful. Thanks for this great pic Matt.
Such beauty. Great companions to have!
Beautiful countryside. I’m glad the weather is being kind to you. It’s been nice in So Cal. Low 80s…what’s humidity? 8-)
Yeah, Dennis. We’ve been lucky. Weather’s been beautiful here. Even some cool cloudy mornings here in OC! :)
What a beautiful sight…..98 in Franklin, TN Sunday. More to come. That water looks refreshing. Keep chugging, Matt.
Looks like it would’ve been a great place to soak your feet, Matt!
That picture would be great for a postcard. Very beautiful scene!
Where is that Matt?
