I’ll leave some for the rest of you…but, well, first again…sorry…

  2. Christine says:

Good for you Jim in AR via MN!! Three first comments!

These pics are beautiful. I would love to just camp here for a few days.

  3. Uncle Bill says:

It’s starting to get really scenic out there. Great shot, Matthew!

  4. Beautiful travelling companions. I really like them. They flow nicely together. Hope you’re enjoying the change in scenery. I know I am.

  5. Pat says:

Good thing you aren’t walking across the south. In Warner Robins, GA, at 5:00 pm, the temp was 98 degrees with a heat index of 117.

    • Don in Tennessee says:

      Pat

At 8:52 PM in Maryville, TN it is 91 with a heat index of 97.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

      • Candice In Alabama says:

I’ll go with the “let it snow, let it snow, let it snow”. Candice loves cooler weather! We have had some beautiful days (sunny with bright blue skies and white fluffy clouds). You just can’t get out in it – due to the heat and humidty!

  6. Craig (Yeah..in NC!) says:

    THAT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!
    THANK YOU!

  7. Dave says:

That certainly is some clear looking water. They could use some of that in the Gulf of Mexico about now.

  8. Amanda in WA says:

    Beautiful!

  9. Jeff says:

Awesome Picture! Awesomeist water shot. Who else would you rather walk with (besides your parents at your side)
you can tell them everything…and they wont utter a sound. Peaceful moment.

  11. Karen Too says:

It was hot and muggy here yesterday, but not today. Right now, it’s about 67 degrees, with low humidity. It’s going down to about 55 tonight. Love it. (I’m in the mountains of upstate NY.)

  12. Angelica says:

Nice picture! You really have an eye for taking good balanced shots even though you’re using a phone. Also in the city yesterday it was 97 degrees with a low of 80 and a heat index of 105…you’re lucky to be up in the mountains! It finally cooled down a bit though….

  13. mojinator says:

definitely a sight! i’m just wondering what the heck is that lamp(?) post doing there?

  14. Lori says:

Daytime temps are around 90+ deg. in the area where Matt is now, but here’s the difference: it cools to about high 40’s at night AND it’s about 20% humidity. BIG difference! As they say… it’s a dry heat.

    • Julie says:

Dry heat….EEEK…we have had 120 degrees here in the Mohave desert, so far this season (actually prolly hotter, the weather people always say its cooler than it is – LOL)…After moving from the east coast ( HOT HUMID) it actually does make a difference. You just have to go from AC to AC to AC….. Walk on Matt 8-)

  15. Julie says:

    Beautiful!!!!

  16. MN Roxanne says:

And trees…. and all the critters that live in that forest and river….. you have more fellow walkers than you know!

  17. Gigi says:

So peaceful. Thanks for this great pic Matt.

  18. Shannon says:

Such beauty. Great companions to have!

  19. Dennis in So Cal says:

Beautiful countryside. I’m glad the weather is being kind to you. It’s been nice in So Cal. Low 80s…what’s humidity? 8-)

    • April from CA says:

Yeah, Dennis. We’ve been lucky. Weather’s been beautiful here. Even some cool cloudy mornings here in OC! :)

  20. Dave in TN says:

What a beautiful sight…..98 in Franklin, TN Sunday. More to come. That water looks refreshing. Keep chugging, Matt.

  21. deb says:

Looks like it would’ve been a great place to soak your feet, Matt!

  22. Doris says:

That picture would be great for a postcard. Very beautiful scene!

  23. Wingnut says:
