That is a pretty lame slogan..the smiley face is pretty lame too …must have been created by a committee that could not figure out what it is that they do. but they do something I’m sure. Is that a tomato plant in the wash basin in front of the door?
At first I was amused by the sign, but now that I see how they’ve kept the original slogan, and what they are doing for their community, I like it. (Thanks for the link, Gigi.)
Hey Jeff! Me, too! During the reception I was the only guy in the place! Oh yeah! ;) I had my picture taken for the local paper with the girl that also won a scholarship. They made me stand in a hole in the yard because of our height difference! A few people that saw us in the paper thought it was our engagement/wedding photo announcement! She was a hot cheerleader, too! Her mom kept looking at me funny, and while we were getting our picture taken, she told my mom that she wished her daughter had asked me to Senior Prom. Pretty funny! (Hadn’t thought about that in years and years!)
yea..love the story. Mine was not as good…but when they told me (at school) I was awarded a “secret” scholarship..I was ok….and in the ceremony they called out the woman’s club award…and the reason for it..and my name….It was cool. Paid for my books the first year.
In many rural areas, the women are the ones who become responsible for taking care of the heritage of the area. They do it by having women’s clubs, raising money, and taking care of their towns. They may not all be creative when it comes to names and slogans but they do get things done. I have nothing but respect for these hardy women who keep communities going with organizations such as this.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out.
If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania.
You can read all about the details of my trip
if you're so inclined.

They’ve been in existence for 80 years and that’s their slogan .. http://www.plainswomansclub.com/
The website say they hold their regular monthly meetings every fourth Friday of the month and that was yesterday. Were you able to drop in Matt?
Maybe they should rename it the “Plain” Women’s Club.

Speaking of doing things, I think that it is so exciting that Matt is getting so close to Idaho!!!!!!
Plain and simple – I love that smiley! “git ‘er done”!

They’re doing WHAT now?
Aw, how sunshiney and cute.
Hopefully “things” doesn’t mean meth.
It may not be “cool” but it is simple & sincere. Go girls!
