  1. Blistery Bob says:

Without gloves on……………..wild horse PAINS will result.

Amazing what they will do for entertainment in Montana.

That is the first pic I have noticed with the grass all dry.

“just put one foot in front of the other and soon you’ll be…………”

  2. Gigi says:

Did you see any wild horses Matt? Noticed it too, Bob, the grass is all dry in this area.

    • Lori says:

We don’t get the humidity and rain in the West during the summer as the mid-west & East do. It’s green & lush until we get into July/Aug, then the grass and ground plants dry up because the weather gets hot & dry. When the occasional summer thunderstorm comes along — perfect conditions for lightining strikes to start wildfires.

  3. John in MI says:

It’s the home of the annual Wild Horse Joke Telling Contest. Note in the logo that Horse #2 is telling Horse #1 a joke, and you can clearly see his reaction to the “punch” line. He’s getting a real “kick” out of it.

  4. J e f f says:

I heard the rolling stones played here.

  5. charlie says:

interesting, the website listed on the sign reads Plains Empty Chamber

  6. Candice in Alabama says:

Matt – will the bear repellent work on wild horses as well?

  7. The Lock says:

Do they have cow punching, too?

    • Blistery Bob says:

Love it Lock……they do punch doggies (not dogs in case PITA is reading) out there in cowboy country.

Thanks for the slice of AMERICA that most of us will never see.

“put one foot in front of the other and soon you’ll be ……………………….”

  8. jack says:

brings new meaning to the nickname “the italian stallion”!!

    • Blistery Bob says:

  9. Ashleigh says:

There’s a wild horse plains in south australia, between adelaide and port wakefield. it looks a lot like this, minus that big mountain of course! you’re an inspiration to so many.
