Especially the bullet hole in the window.

  1. Karen Too says:

If the office is one and a half miles away, is THIS the cabin?

Yeah, I see that bullet hole. Nice touch of advertising.

  2. If this truck in any indication of what lies ahead at the cabin I don’t think I wan to stay.

  3. Don in Tennessee says:

The sign and truck are deceiving!

Tom Bodet, please leave the light on!

    • Well if the place really is as nice as that site link says then they really need to go out and change this sign! Because this is NOT an inviting advertisement for that place at all.

On another note I happen to think of when checking out your link Don, which by the way thanks for that, is “Hey Matt, don’t get any ideas of relaxing in that nice jacuzzi and playing fooseball ! ” But then we all know Matt deserves a good break and rest so maybe he could check it out?.

  4. Don in Tennessee says:

On top of that, I believe it is for sale with 119.3 acres!

It is only $675K-Maybe the HOBO NATION could purchase this property and rename it HOBO NATION RANCH!

  5. Lisa in Goldsboro NC says:

Small wonder there is a vacancy?

  6. deanna valenti meyer says:

Wait a minute…$675k for that AND 119.3 acres!?!?!? What the? That’s SO CHEAP! How crazy!

Does it come with it’s own bullet holes?

    • Don in Tennessee says:

      Deanna

This is in the middle of nowhere –

Remember that Montana has the 4th largest land area of all the states and a total population of somewhere over 900,000 for the whole state. CA and NY probably have this many homeless people!

The old supply and demand thing! It looks pretty from the photos but I will bet it is colder than you know what in the winter with the snow and wind blowing!

  7. Yeosaph Ferguson says:

Nice pick up, real nice. Sad to see it put out to pasture. I hate to see that, and I warned early on that this would be a common scene out west. We are definitely in the west.

  8. mojinator says:

they left the truck so that the grass won’t cover the sign, just guessing here… it also has that feel – “you can leave your car as well and walk a mile, it’s all good” hehe

  9. Jeff says:

You know, I like the signage…completely. Your driving down a empty road…wondering where the heck we gonna stay….and out of the Fied you see a truck and signage pointing you in the right direction. You know don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I guess I have to flicker zoom to see bullet….but Matt has passed Holyer (not a god comment) sign and has survived……what is one bullet hole…..I know … Woops…missed that deer for sure.

  10. Craig (Yeah..in NC!) says:

They’re website says they have “varmint hunting”
    http://www.sharptailcabinmt.com/

  11. Even I’ve seen that truck and thought “If you mow yer lawn and find a CAR…..” on my way to Great Falls.. It is Big Sky Country for sure and we say here it’s not the end of the earth, but you can see it from here.

  12. Kevin from NC says:

Hopefully the bullet hole was made when there was nobody in the driver’s seat.

  13. Stephen says:

Nice to see the old pick-up is still working. At least there’s no parking ticket on the truck’s window! The Sharptail Cabin looks naturally beautiful along with the scenic land it sits on. I guess you haven’t lived until you’ve unwound in the Jacuzzi tub in the Bullwinkle Room.

Loved the guest comments on Craig’s site link. Sure sounds like a little piece of heaven with elk grazing on the front lawn.
