Another satisfied road worker

I'm walking across America.
That's the idea, at least. I'm walking westward from New York City for nine months or so. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Oregon when the clock runs out. If nothing goes according to plan, maybe I'll end up in Peru or Mongolia or Pennsylvania. You can read all about the details of my trip if you're so inclined.

The urge to make smiley faces with tar must be overwhelming at times… I can’t say I wouldn’t do the same!
They gotta do something to entertain themselves out there. Reminds me of the toy slayer in MN. Now here we have the “tar bandit” stretching from ND into MT. New slogan “Smile when driving”? It makes the day brighter? Sunshine in my sole? Happy days are here again? Oh, I gotta stop. Gotta go smile at someone today.

Jeff and Matt… I wonder IF, just if. the same persons(or company) is contracted by the states (Mont and ND) and the person(s) working for that company is making these along the way?
