Yeah, don’t worry about the mold that might come about after the carpets get all wet just worry that the kids don’t skin their knees on the tree roots.
This is the counterpoint to my walk across the US. Instead of seeing a million places for just a minute each, I'm going to spend a million minutes exploring just one place. By the time I finish walking every block of every street in all five boroughs, I'll have traveled more than 8,000 miles on foot — all within a single city. Details!
Your donations allow me to keep walking full-time. If you think what I'm doing is valuable and you'd like to offer some support, I would be very grateful. On the other hand, if you think I'm a worthless bum, feel free to email me and tell me to get a job, bozo. Both are excellent options!
Must be northern rednecks……………
Why sure, doesn’t everybody put throw rugs/carpet pieces down over their lawns to cover the tree roots??? ha ha.
People in NY so far are some weirdly creative folks. That mailbox is hanging in there with it all though for sure. Oh the stories it could tell….
Hmm… could this be the beginning of the new mailbox series?
Let’s hope so!
This is in direct cotrast to the Donkey Shrine Lawn. …..
Door bell rings…Hello! I’m from Stanley Steamer…can I clean your carpet
LOL ! Oh Jeff, that’s a good one!
What about when it rains? I guess the carpet does dry out with the sun, but still….

Just hang the carpet on the cool mailbox to dry…
