I'm walking every street in New York City.
This is the counterpoint to
my walk across the US. Instead of seeing a million places for just a minute each, I'm going to spend a million minutes exploring just one place. By the time I finish walking every block of every street in all five boroughs, I'll have traveled more than 8,000 miles on foot — all within a single city.

Your donations allow me to keep walking full-time. If you think what I'm doing is valuable and you'd like to offer some support, I would be very grateful. On the other hand, if you think I'm a worthless bum, feel free to email me and tell me to get a job, bozo. Both are excellent options!
I’m thinkin NYC may have some of the best doors in the world.
The stone work and carvings are amazing. The history there. Okay Matt, now you’re almost making me want to come to NYC to see it. But alas, NYC is one place I do not ever want to go. I’ll just stay here and see it through your “eyes”.
Dorinda, you really should visit at least once.
I have no desire to be in a big city at all. I’m so EXTREMELY claustrophobic and can’t stand being closed in in any way. No tunnels of any kind, no elevators I take the stairs no matter how many floors and the list goes on. To get into NYC you have to take some kind of tunnel to get around and I won’t do it, I can’t do it. So therefore I’m not coming. My son wants to go so he can go to the World of Nintendo and see the gameboy on display there that is destroyed but still working. But even that won’t get me to go there. Sorry. I’ll be there in spirit with everyone following Matt and “seeing” NYC through his eyes.
My apologies, Dorinda. I did not realize what I was suggesting.
This would not be fun for you at all. Better to go where you will enjoy yourself.
There are tons of other places on this planet where you would feel at ease, and right at home. :-)
It’s okay Karen, not a problem Please don’t worry about it.
My family has taken a summer trip (by car) since I was a baby so I’ve seen quite a bit. Most of the eastern states but not all and some South and some out West. The South is definitely the most friendly place to go. Sorry everyone else but it is. But each place has it’s own beauty. And if you’ve never been out West to see the Rocky Mountains, you gotta go at least once in your lifetime. Wow. What beauty. Amazing with the snow caps on them in the springtime. Best time to go. So yes, I’ve been some amazing places without having to fly or go into the underground! ha ha. Thanks.
But, it still would be nice to at least touch these buildings.
