Day 17

A Jewish Chinese auction?

January 16th, 2012

A stop on the road to happiness, perhaps

  1. Dorinda from Mentor, Oh. says:

Aww you’re a day too early Matt.

  2. Go tomorrow and tell us what it was like…..are the cadleabras, etc made in China? What IS that Jewish/Chinese connection?

  3. Thomas says:

To Mary Kay — it is in the title … mixed Hebrew with the words in English “& Chinese Auction” … I guess there is a connotation there that didn’t translate.
I had never heard of this before but it is sort of like a raffle, with each prize having it’s own “hat” so to speak so you can buy tickets only for the prizes you want. This reduces the odds. It actually makes it more like an auction in that you are focusing your attention on specific items. Interesting.
