I'm walking every street in New York City.
This is the counterpoint to
my walk across the US. Instead of seeing a million places for just a minute each, I'm going to spend a million minutes exploring just one place. By the time I finish walking every block of every street in all five boroughs, I'll have traveled more than 8,000 miles on foot — all within a single city.

Your donations allow me to keep walking full-time. If you think what I'm doing is valuable and you'd like to offer some support, I would be very grateful. On the other hand, if you think I'm a worthless bum, feel free to email me and tell me to get a job, bozo. Both are excellent options!
Rest in Peace baby. God Bless his parents and family.
Wow. That has been there for some time. I think I would travel to NY to see those (and FAO…)
How sad. and even his helmet is there,
I SEE ALL THESE CARS, I THOUGHT MOST NEW YORKERS RODE BUSES, TRAIN, SUBWAYS, AND ETC.
True!
But there are over 8 million people here and at least half own cars especially in the Outer Boroughs like The Bronx where you can actually find free parking on the street or have a garage in their home. Many people in this neighborhood use them for work.
I have a car that I use to get around The Bronx for shopping, longer trips etc. but NOT for trips to Manhattan where I work.
Parking there is IMPOSSIBLE for the middle class.
For the Upper Class, however (and there are MANY in NYC) they pay upwards of $60K per year to have the luxury of a car at hand. Other times they use Taxis and Limos. The Middle and Lower classes (and there are MANY MORE in NYC) use the public transit mostly.
Glad you took this pic on my block.
Reminds me I should get a can of white paint to fix it up even though I never knew Michael.
