I'm walking every street in New York City.
This is the counterpoint to
my walk across the US. Instead of seeing a million places for just a minute each, I'm going to spend a million minutes exploring just one place. By the time I finish walking every block of every street in all five boroughs, I'll have traveled more than 8,000 miles on foot — all within a single city.

Your donations allow me to keep walking full-time. If you think what I'm doing is valuable and you'd like to offer some support, I would be very grateful. On the other hand, if you think I'm a worthless bum, feel free to email me and tell me to get a job, bozo. Both are excellent options!
More power to you. I have walked around 40 lakes, including Ontario-565 miles, Erie-625 miles, and Champlain-275 miles, each in one fell swoop. Mere puddles compared to your x-country. I particularly appreciate your NYC walking because it’s right under everyone else’s nose. That was why I did my first Lake – Ontario; it was practically in my backyard, and that of 300,000 other Rochesterians and we all just kind of took it for granted. I do NOT get the hiking boots. I wear good walking/running shoes, for example Brooks Walking Addiction. And I stay off concrete sidewalks when possible, in favor of asphalt or dirt. The tensile strength of concrete bothers my spine and knees. I wrote a book, Learning to Walk: Book I of the Trilogy. If you give me an earth-mail address I’ll send you a copy, gratis.
