This building on 41st Street in Astoria still bears the original name of that street. Its eponym, Albert, was one of the sons of piano magnate William Steinway, who built the still-operating Steinway Piano Factory nearby in 1870.
This is the Steinway Mansion, located at the top of a hill on an otherwise grim and industrial stretch of 41st Street.
