From here on out, I'll probably walk through some big areas without cell coverage. I may not be able to post to the blog for several days (or possibly more) at a time. So don't worry if you don't see anything new for a while; it doesn't mean anything bad has happened to me. The red line on my progress map, which is updated from my GPS beacon, should continue to get a little longer each day, whether or not I have cell service.

Katy and Kelly saw me at the grocery store in Glendive and recognized me from a news story. They were visiting their parents, who conveniently live just off the road I'd be walking, and they invited me over for the evening. After some pizza, beer, s'mores, and Scotch, I decided to declare last night my official July 4th celebration!

It's clearly the beer of choice for local litterers, but there is a particularly absurd number of Bud Light cans (and bottles) lining the eastbound side of Route 200 east of Jordan.

You take those two flags out of the holder and place them in the slots on the back of the diamond sign, which you would presumably unfold. But what sort of event would call for such steps to be taken?
